| Mac/OS 10.4 or later Systems | MAC .mpkg installer | After the download, click on the mpkg file. This
installer will automatically install the ACORNS application and store its components appropriately
on your system.
It will automatically move the ACORNS and Sound Editor applications to the application area of your system (/applications). Documentation and sample lessons will move to /Library/Documentation/acornsDocumentation, and the software for the various lesson types will move to the /Library/Frameworks/acorns.framework folder. |

After the download, click on the dmg file. When the folder opens, you can drag the application to the applications folder in Macntosh HD. However, the program will need the folder plugins to run. When ACORNS first runs, if it cannot find that folder, it will ask you for to browse for the location of that folder. For this reason, the .mpkg install is easier. See notes at the bottom of this page for more details. | ||
